2011-04-07:It's been a long time since our last update and so many foals have been born in the meantime... We're sorry but we can't put all of them into this journal entry, so we'll concentrate on the three most active horses to honor that their owners invested so many time to build their careers! It's so amazing for us to see successful progeny of our horses! Thank you so much!
A champion's life - SDS Seekönig by EDS ErlkönigOne of Erlkönigs first offspring retired lately, SDS Seekönig. He can look back to great show jumping career and sired many high quality foals. He became H-E-W-A Finest Blood, BWP Ambassado, BWP Proven Sire
and reached Bronze status at Elite Show Horses.
This is his life (many thanks to :devSilmesDragonStables: for collecting this for me):
His parents are Erlkönig EDS and SDS I Sea the Devil:

On 2010-03-27, the mare gave birth to a beautiful black colt! He was named "Seekönig" which means "Seaking" in German - his name fits perfectly to him and refers to his sire Erlkönig! David fell in love with the little boy and tried to buy him, but no chance
Gota from SDS didn't even think about selling him!

"Sese" grow up to a nice 2 year old stallion.
:thumb161497528:
He started his career as a 3 year old with a small competition andeven made the first place. Many other competitions followed in the next years.

Our little boy this great and jumped to the 1th place in the first Annual Outback Stables Horse Show - show jumping
His first BIG event was the RPS Show Jumping. Sese ended on the 8th place out of 50 entries.
:thumb174924884:
And he became 13th of 21 in the Puissance competition DT Show Jumping Extravaganza.
:thumb182194889:
With 10 years, he entered OVEC End of Summer Jumping Festival, but because of the great load in the Puissance Jumping, he had some trouble with his legs and was not in best condition for the contest. He ended on the 21th place our of 48 entries, which still is a good result.
:thumb183908158:
Because of the weakness of his legs he became a rest period to recover completely and came back to international sport at the age of 15 in the HARPG Olympics. The break had done him good and he completed his career successfully with the fourth place:

At the top of his career, SDS decided to retire the famous stallion.
:thumb191640924:
He sired many great foals who will continue his bloodline. His name will be unforgotten!
A champion's life - SDS Squelette Rouge de Sang by EDS Blood Red SandmanSquel became the most famous offspring out of our stallion Blood Red Sandman, maybe because he had an exciting foaltime with lots of trouble and publicity! He's going to be retired soon so if you're interested in a Harlequine, we really recommend suggesting him for a breeding before it's too late
His parents are a beautiful CL Harlequine mare called "Skletlene" and our BL Harlequine Sandman (Ghede bloodline).
:thumb159393206:
Just after his birth the foal was stolen out of it's stable. The news caused a lot of trouble in the Harlequine breeder's scene:
:thumb159774722:
But although everyone held the eyes open to find him, he was missing for months. Finally he was found in a circus, but unfortunately the trauma had left deep wounds in the foal's mind.
:thumb160216911:
The SDS staff did everything to help him and Squel finally found a friend:
:thumb163705176:
He grew up into a beautiful, healthy stallion, but his character was stamped by the experiences he made as a foal. He entered many halter competitions and always got high placements and earned the title "OHS Elite Harlequine Horse 2010"
:thumb162819188::thumb171665248::thumb177433167: :thumb180732171:
At the zenith of his career he was shown in a breeder's circle with the whole bloodline from foundation stud Ghede down to his first foal! What an impressive picture! No surprise they made the first place!
:thumb187193377:
Here are some more Squel-foals. We from Elbdale are endlessly proud of Squelette! He passed on his beautiful markings to ALL of his foals, and some of them still show patterns that show their relation to our stallion Sandman!

A champion's life - OVEC Athan Ambar by EDS ErlkönigThe last champion we want to present is OVEC Athan Ambar, a pure Trakehner stallion. He has already proven his quality in all disciplines - Show Jumping, Eventing and Dressage! He's the one out of thousands who was able to compete in highest classes of all classical disciplines and already prove that he's passing on his enormous potential to his offspring.
Athans parents are our famous Show Jumper Erlkönig and OVEC's highclass Trakehner Mare Dulin Wen, who sadly passed away a few weeks ago.
It was a shock for both, David from Elbdale and Dulin Wens owner Jay Riddle, that Dulin Wen gave birth to twins on 2010-04-02:
Luckily both foals were healthy and suprisingly strong. David bought the seal brown filly while the bay colt stood at OVEC.
Athan was awarded for his excellent exterieur when he was a weanling and kept is excellent build until he was fully grown up.
He started training at the age of three
He started his career in Eventing and made the first place in his FIRST competition!
After the tragic death of Jay Riddle, the new owner Robert Moore decided to enter some high level Show Jumping competitions with him because he already had proven his all around talent in Eventing.
After that he even entered high class Dressage Events:
This was honored with the Finest Blood status in the European Warmblood Association:
Athans greatest success is the second place in the HArpg Olympic Show Jumping:
Of course such a successful stallion becomes famous! Athan sired many foals of exceptional quality:

It will be difficult to find a horse that's good enough to step into his footprints. Robert Moore has great faith in his full brother Mor Aran. Time will show if he's able to answer the expectations. David lately received a present from Robert, a picture of Athan and his full brother Mor:
